Matthew Jansen has been named President-Grain Group for Archer Daniels
Midland Company (NYSE: ADM). In this role, he will have management
responsibilities for the Company’s Grain Group, which includes the
Company’s domestic and export grain facilities, grain merchandising
operations, destination marketing businesses and ocean freight
operations. He will report to Lew Batchelder, Senior Vice President-Ag
Services, and relocate to the Company’s headquarters in Decatur,
Illinois.
Mr. Jansen most recently served as President-South American Operations,
located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He joined the Company in 1989 and
previously held management positions in the U.S., Europe and Brazil. He
received a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics from the
University of Arkansas.
He will remain a Vice President of the Company.
