Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) announced today that it has
entered into an agreement to acquire the operations of Hilltop Grain and
Feed, Inc. in Wisner, Nebraska.
“This acquisition adds to our footprint in an important production
region where we continue to look for expansion opportunities,” said
Matthew Jansen, president, ADM Grain. “We look forward to serving the
existing Hilltop customers, and we're excited about the opportunity to
bring expanded marketing services to the region.”
Art Nitzsche, president of Hilltop Grain and Feed, commented, “We’d like

The parties expect the transaction to close on or about September 2,
2008.
