Peter Taschner has joined Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) as
vice president, Safety and Health. In this role, Taschner will lead the
Company’s efforts to further improve safety processes, standards and
metrics. He will report to Scott Roney, vice president, Compliance and
Ethics.
“Pete has proven experience as a leader in the development and
implementation of comprehensive safety programs at global companies
respected for their safety results,” said Roney. “I am confident that
Pete will bring additional insight and leadership to ADM’s fundamental
commitment to reach Zero injuries, Zero incidents.”
Taschner comes to ADM from Dresser-Rand Company, a leading global
manufacturer of compressors and turbines, where he served as director of
Operations for a major business segment and led the development and
implementation of a behavioral safety approach resulting in significant
improvement in safety performance. Previously, Taschner served as vice
president of Manufacturing at Telex Communications, and in numerous
operations and safety leadership roles at E.I. du Pont de Nemours. He
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering and a
Master of Business Administration from Lehigh University.
