ADM Donates $375,000 to Support Efforts to Clean Up American Rivers

ADM employees volunteered more than 840 hours this year to help clean vital waterways

Eighth year ADM has worked with Living Lands & Waters

DECATUR, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) today announced a donation of $375,000 to Living Lands & Waters, a nonprofit organization that promotes the health and vitality of the nation’s inland waterways.

Since 2004, ADM has supported Living Lands & Waters through ADM Cares, the company’s social-investment program. This year in addition to the company’s financial support, more than 300 ADM employees volunteered to participate in Living Lands & Waters river cleanup events along the Mississippi River and other major U.S. waterways.

“Cleaner waterways are not only important for the numerous communities along our nation’s river system, they are important for the U.S. agriculture industry as a whole,” said Jeff Becker, ADM’s vice president, North American Grain Operations. “We rely on the Mississippi River to transport products from America’s Heartland to consumers all around the world, and we are proud to support the efforts of Living Lands & Waters to help clean up and restore our nation’s waterways.”
